Geneva Auto Electric was originated in 1914. Actually one of the first businesses in Geneva, N.Y. (A city located in the heart of the Finger Lakes Wine Country.) At the time G.A.E. was only selling Automotive parts & servicing vehicles. 

In 1958 G.A.E. was purchased by Charles Howard, Richard Howard & Bernard Deland. The business was expanded and G.A.E. was turned into a Wholesale / Distribution Company for small engine & related lawnmower replacement repair parts. Still retaining the Automotive Repair. 

After the retirement of his father Charles in 1979 and his brother-in-law in 1986, Richard became the sole owner of the company. In 1987 the Automotive portion of the company was sold off, so that all focus could be given to the Wholesale / Distribution. Richard remained running the company until his death in 1994. 

Today his wife & six children, combined with several related employees, run and actively participate in the day to day running of this company. At this time G.A.E. currently distruibutes over 25 lines of Small Engine & Lawnmower, replacement & repair parts (along with other allied lines) in Central & Western New York plus Northern Pennsylvania. 

In 1998 Geneva Auto Electric celebrated 40 Years of Quality Distrubution. 

When once asked what made his business a success Richard replied, 
"Family! everyone here has an interest and a stake in the success and the failure of this Company and there isn't one person working here that doesn't know that." 

Today that remains our firm belief. we continue to strive for two things. 

(1) Always give the best service possible. 
(2) And try to always make it affordable to keep the customer Mowing & Snow-blowing.
